What do you say ? Tiatr has to be Censored?

First of all one must know What is Tiatr ? Tiatr are mostly written on social & political issues which are prevailing at the time in society. The functioning of the Government is brought to the people through these Tiatrs for over a century now. The politicians are criticized, they are bulldozed for their misdeeds in their political tenure.This is what Tiatrs are for the Goans for the last 125 years.

Secondly there is other side to this which the legislators are right in their demands. It is quite true that some of the Tiatrist are favouring certain politicians who are their sponsors.

Another important aspect to this is criticizing the politicians directly even to extent of intruding into their personal life. Is this fair? And some people are giving these singers encore.

Remmie Colaco, M.Boyer and Nelson  and even the great legend like Kid Boxer used to sing songs about politicians and take up issues of Government. But never directly.

Remmie Colaco used to sing on Politicians in a very satirical way comparing them with animals. During opinion poll these actors had played a very vital role.

M. Boyer has taken up so many issues about the wrong doings of the Government in his beautiful composition. The audience used to encore him again and again.

Kid Boxer used to sing his songs criticizing the Government with his superb compositions in proverbs and satires.

The Trio Conception-Nelson- Anthony sang so many songs criticizing the Government and became one of the most famous TRIO in Goa without hurting the sentiments of the Politicians.

We have to learn from these stalwarts.
