Meet Brazinho Soares ‘Kalapurkar’

Every month Tiatr Academy of Goa invites artistes of repute to interact with their fans/followers and other tiatr loving people. Such a meeting helps the audience to know more in detail about the artiste. It also helps TAG to create documentation for its library in order to preserve it for posterity.

A well known tiatr writer, Brazinho Soares ‘Kalapurkar’ from Santa Cruz, Tiswadi will be the “Artiste of the Month” in this monthly programme to be held on Friday, 31^st July 2015 at 4.00 p.m., at Conference Hall, Tiatr Academy of Goa, AS-1, 2^ndFloor, Campal Trade Centre, Campal, Panaji Goa.

SOCCORINA - A HIT AGAIN

A tiatr which was released in 1984 is still a hit when its released a second time. 'SOCCORINA' a super hit in 1980's staging more than 200 shows and released again this season is going packed house all over Goa. Minino de Bandar the Director should be congratulated for this feat. Out of the total cast then, there are only three actors who are doing their roles in this Tiatr again. Telles Moraes and Angela Moraes who acted previously with the same characters as of now. Minino de Bandar is the other one as a Director. The role of Late Seby is being enacted by versatile actor Joe Rose and Late Rosario Dias role by Maxy. Its a must watch show for this season.

REPORTER still houseful in Goa…..

Francis de Tuem tiatr “REPORTER” is on the top of the charts with houseful shows all over Goa. This Tiatr was released in April 2016 but still it is shown with packed houses. The new rainy season is already in the midst with so many of the new tiatr’s released by various directors. Even then “REPORTER” is going on with packed audience at all theatres in Goa. In few days time it will cross century mark.

Tiatr Academy of Goa will organize its monthly programme ‘Somplolea Tiatristancho Ugddas’ dedicated to the memories of the tiatr artistes who are no more living and have contributed immensely for the development of tiatr. The artistes who were born in a particular month will be remembered in this programme. The artistes of yesteryears who were born in the month of July are A.M.B. Rose, Alexinho de Candolim, Domnick Vaz, Carmo Rod, Fr. Freddy J. Da Costa, Antonio Moraes, Joao Inacio D’Souza, Thomas Aguelino Fernandes (Champion Peter), Joao Sebastiao Sequeira (John Mestri)and Francisco Borges (Frank Borges)

In order to remember these artistes a special programme is organized on Monday, 27^th July 2015 at 4.00pm at the Conference Hall, Tiatr Academy of Goa, Campal Trade Centre, Campal, Panaji Goa.

Maim-Paik Azilant Dovorat releasing Today

Tony Dias is coming up with another masterpiece 'Main-Paik Azilant Dovorat' which is being released today at Ravindra Bhavan - Curchorem. With a huge setting this tiatr will surely make an impact on the audience. For the first time tickets for this tiatr has been priced at Rs.200/- & Rs. 100/- due to the setting. Hope to get a good entertainment and a good tiatr. ALL THE BEST.

State Cultural Awards for the ROSE'S

State Cultural Awards bestowed for Joe Rose & Rita Rose

The Art & Culture department should be congratulated to nominate Joe Rose and Rita Rose for the State Cultural Awards 2014-15. These two stalwarts of our Konkani stage were long overdue for the state of Goa to honour them with this prestigious award. They both have dedicated their entire life in the Tiatr field and are the stars of Konkani stage.

  RITA ROSE

Rita Rose wife of Late Alfred Rose the melody king of Konkani stage has worked with her husband for the past several decades. Her melodious voice rendered thousands of worth remembering songs on HMV and other gramophone records, cassettes, CD’s. They both presented so many shows all around the world. Recently she had been honoured with Life Time Achievement Award by Tiatr Academy of Goa.

Joe Rose has dedicated his entire life for the Konkani Stage starting from a very young age. He is the writer, director, par excellent actor. At present he is the Vice President of Tiatr Academy of Goa. Recently he has written a script and directed the film “Mariola”. He has been honoured with a Life Time Achievement Award by Tiatr Academy of Goa last year.

Congratulating both of them for this prestigious honor.

              NEW TIATR RELEASING THIS WEEK

There are two new tiatr releasing this week. Roseferns latest tiatr is already released last Saturday at Mapuca. Now the show is going on very well in Goa. 

Undir Mogan Poddla is the 83rd edition of Roseferns pen. A must see Tiatr.

The other release is by Irineu Gonsalves releasing on 11th July, 2015.

MODHLI VATT having a good cast with veterans like Wilmix & Sharon.

After a gap you can see Irene back in action.
